history lesson for christians

i was looking some info tonight on cs lewis, and stumbled upon an essay that a man recently wrote entitled "did cs lewis go to heaven?" with a resounding NO tacked on there. he was really wordy in all the wrong ways, but essential his reasoning was this- lewis did not go to heaven. and why? because he was not an evangelical protestant. he was part of the church of england, and apparently stayed pretty tight-nit to those circles. i find this thought process... interesting? now, let's take a look at a few things for clarity's sake.

it's true, lewis was not an evangelical protestant. but then again, most of the christian world isn't evangelical protestant. infact, most of england is anglican/catholic... hense, the church of england. amazing how that works, isn't it? wow. along the same lines, protestantism alone did not develop until the 16th century. who knows when evangelicalism kicked in! the point is, heaven will not be an exclussive protestant homecoming.

and lastly, lewis married a freaking jew! need we say more?

bottom line, this cat is making a lot of strong accussations that he doesn't have the right to make, and he's building his case on fickle assumptions, bias idealogies, and unchecked historical falicies. this guy is obviously american.

and by the way, i'm not evangelical.
