well, i arrived home last sunday afternoon. landon was brave and i was stupid, and we drove 2 nights to get home a day early. stopped in to see shea and jocie, which was awesome and very much needed. before we left, shea offered the eucherist for us to all take together and we enjoyed the communion. he has grown up to be a pretty super person.
of course, soon after getting home, i was right back out the door to the beach with family. it was a nice getaway, but it also kept me from posting sooner. oh well. here we are now.
i went with my brother and his wife to see g.i. joe last night. and yes, i am in agreement with the rest of america- it was an awful movie. the only saving graces were the cameos made by brendan fraser and kevin j. o'conner (who are both almost always in stephen sommers' films), and the preview for shutter island. it's sad when the preview for another movie is the saving grace of the movie you went to see. anyway, hopefully the tide is turning very soon for the quality of this year's films-- inglorious basterds, shutter island, a serious man, shorts, the informant, and sherlock holmes.
sorry, i got off on a movie tangent there. wait, this is my blog! i can talk about whatever i want! well, that's it for now. classes start next week, so this week must be lived up. in fact, tomorrow is a big day. danny and i are celebrating all day with the release of some very good comic books.
