Since February, I've been writing a novel about crazy, old, landlocked pirates. It's a great story and I can't wait to share it with the world. But now I am on the last chapter of the first draft and I really want to just wrap it up for now. I love doing this Bible study, but I don't want to short change it in any way and I'm currently distracted by this other project. So I'm taking a week off from the Here's To John series in order to focus on my ridiculous novel.
But despair not, dear readers! I have friends and family who write much better than I do, and they have offered to fill in the gap. So, over the next few days, we will see thoughts on the Gospel of John from my brother Andrew, my sister Connie, my best friend Danny Stapp, and maybe a few others. I look forward to their contributions, beginning tomorrow with a post from Connie. And I know you will be blessed by their gifts. Thank you for being patient with me and for the continued support. DV
