Allow me to start off by saying that I don't even want to be writing this blog tonight, but Shea has been bugging me about it. So here's to you, buddy. Enjoy the read.
In Memphis this weekend, and that means "not in Arkansas." Mom flew in and I met her at Andrew's, so it's like a half-reunion. I wish Connie and Dad were here as well though, especially since tomorrow is Father's Day. Amanda made an amazing dinner of semi-gourmet BBQ sandwiches. Andrew and I watched part of Iron Giant. Oh and Noah... Don't get me started on how awesome my nephew is! I didn't realize how much I needed this weekend until I got here. There's just something about family... or maybe just my family. I don't know. But I'm glad I'm a part of it.
It has been a crazy week at work and at home. We wrapped up this term of classes, and they had job applicants coming in and out to interview for my position (but that's the life of an intern). Plus it was my first week of teaching by myself. Oh and the AC is still out at our house. So all these things have made for a somewhat stressful week.
BUT, despite all of this- I still love my job! It's incredible. I get to mingle with inmates all day long, telling them how much Jesus loves them and showing them how much I care. On top of that, I work with some of the wisest men of God I've ever met, aside from my dad and my mentor. Come on, who could ask for anything more?!
