Antioch: Step Twenty-Five

"Old or not,” Zepp decided, nodding to Orvin, “and no matter how many, we need to be ready. Orvin, you will be our look-out. If you so much as see a blade of grass turn funny, call us to arms.”

The warrior understood and went to patrolling the area surrounding the group, taking with him Haarp Wilthead. The two were the oldest of friends and were rarely seen apart from one another. Both were well-built, not for lifting like Baxter, but for swift movement. Their shoulders were eye-level to the rest and yet they managed to slip so close to the ground, going undetected and untraceable. They moved as if playing in some sort of a game, with ease and whimsical stealth, ducking and weaving through brush, all the while harmonizing in perfect, silent motion. Orvin was the tracker of the two while Haarp was more of the strategist in a field of battle. Their skills complimented each other and if they weren't paired together on the outset of a mission, they usually ended up side-by-side in the end as lone survivors.
