Antioch: Step Twenty-Six

Zepp and his crew pressed on and did not see their look-outs for the rest of the day. No were the two anywhere to be seen that night as they made camp. Still, the company took comfort in knowing they were out there patrolling, and rested easy under such a watch.

Juniper Flynn prepared dinner, a gruel of various herbs that all who tasted were surprised to find quite delectable and filling. As they ate, she rattled off the ingredients and nutritional value. No one minded though, because it made her happy and the food was good. The night went by without consequence to the stars or the souls slumbering. Walden and Zepp stayed up and discussed the legend a bit until yawns were all they could manage, and then came sleep before dawn. And it was around the breakfast meal that they were finally rejoined by Orvin and Haarp.
