Week 1 has come and gone. Next week will see the dawning of routine, and life... maybe calming down. Who knows! But right now I'm drinking a Root Beer, watching "Carlito's Way," and reflecting on the week. Mistakes I made keep replaying themselves in my mind- spilling a cup of water, slowing down the other counselours with silly questions, drawing a blank in the middle of prayer. But I need to get off these memories, as they pale (I think and hope, anyway) in comparison to the plenty of success the Lord blessed me with this week. There was much grace bestowed on me, and I have learned a great many things. There are 120 inmates and I'm slowly getting to know each of them. I leave my office door propped open and the guys take full advantage of this... and it's awesome! This is a super summer!
There are a ton of stories I could tell about this week, in prison and out. And it's only been a week! At this rate, I might write a book. Bottom line, the Lord is doing some really cool stuff.
